Merson City Hot Springs

Let’s face it; no Japanese-style hotel (in Merson City!) is complete without hot springs! And there’s one way to get into them; through the Hotel! This area is not available in the public beta. There’s a small oversight that may allow you to access the exterior suites and the spas, but this may lead to a game-ending glitch. It has been corrected in a small beta rerelease which you can download in the Downloads section.

Archivist’s note: Sorry, we currently do not have a copy of this release.

Access through the old man in the Hotel once you’ve gotten to a certain point.
The old lady lets you into the spring. It’s an old lady because old ladies are more responsible, obviously.
Aaaaaaah. Relaxing!

You may accidentally smash into the women’s spa by a not-so-obvious means (or if you’re a girl player, vice versa). If you’re a boy, you’re invading the privacy of numerous women, so your appearance is not so welcome.

Iiiiiyaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Your exit won’t be so easy.

That’s just morally wrong, but oh so comedic.

Beta testing program

From March 13 to March 26 at the PokéCommunity, I was looking for six beta testers to look for errors in rijonAdventures. Needless to say, that program is now closed.

A second round will open close to the game’s final release.

Beginning! Seashore City!

This area is accessible in the beta already. I’m sure you all know that. But, there might be a few things you don’t know about the town.

Seashore is the down you start out at. There are all sorts of places worth visiting here, though there are more outside, of course!

The sign tells you where you are…
There’s more places here.
Did you know there’s a gym here?

I won’t go into too much detail about the places you can already visit in the beta, though. Soon, I’ll be talking about the new areas!

But first, there’s one more thing I should talk about for the day.

The story

Dear Journal,
It’s finally the day I tour the region of Rijon. I’ve been looking forward to this day for many years.

It’s been twenty years since my dad fought in a battle with who was once his toughest adversary for Rijon’s champion title. The two are now the best of friends.

And from today, I’ll be the one embarking on a big journey for which I’m sure to enjoy. As I walk through it, I hope to meet lots of new friends. Those friends may help me reach my sole aspiration – becoming the Pokémon League Champion!

That may mean though, that I will not write in my journal. Without a doubt, though, I’ll have lots of things to write about when this journey comes to an end!

So here’s to a great adventure!

So, you’ve been playing with the Wii on the morning you’re going to go. Get off your bum and start moving!
Hail the green directions. They tell all.

So, the story’s quite… normal, I guess. It’s not going to be so simple as the game goes by, (because you won’t be collecting just eight badges). But, that’s all to be detailed later!

What am I working with?

The region of Shin’ou is huge. This giant land has 18 towns and cities – Johto and Kanto put together have 20. What could you expect in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl? An adventure bigger than Gold, Silver and Crystal, and seemingly bigger than Hoenn, too.

But I’m working for rijonAdventures here, not some beautiful DS game. XD

As you may have read on its page, and on the new layout which has been applied to almost all the pages on this site except this web log, the date is published as February 16, 2007. This is a tentative aim date for the main region completion, as Coolboyman wishes to spend time working with me on rijonAdventurs after the release of Pokémon Bronze – and our collaborative efforts will require more than one month. I’ll keep ya’ll updated.

We change things.

With the tools we have, we think we can do almost anything, can’t we? No is the answer I’ll give you, and this is relevant to Johto. While the aim of rijonAdventures is to provide just as much and more of the region we’re used to playing in Brown, it’s unfortunate of me to announce that Johto won’t be full in rijonAdventures. Instead, why not take the big quest in South Rijon?

Rijon 90% complete!

The main region in rijonAdventures, Pokémon Bronze and Pokémon Bronze, entitled “Rijon”, is almost completely done in rijonAdventures. 90% of the region’s overworld maps are completed! Text and events are next on the schedule!

A new Developer Demo featuring this, available to beta testers codenamed “TRAUMA CENTER”, will be distributed soon!

The Lava Cave

Once again, another prototype name. Check out the work I did with colors. The bubbles are even animated like in the Pokemon GYM (and I didn’t edit or overwrite that at all). I’m going to give every cave in Naljo they’re very own tileset. I’ve discovered how to add tilesets too, so far, a total of Four tilesets have been added to the game, without overwriting old ones, and you can expect many more. Also, when you walk around the cave, the screen sometimes shakes, because you are technically in a volcano that’s about to erupt!

First look at the Icy Cave

The name of this area will mostly likely change later on, it’s just a prototype name anyways. Here’s a few screenshots of the area, and the puzzles you must solve in order to pass! The Ice tunnel in Johto will seem like a walk in the park after you see how difficult it really is to solve these puzzles! Like I said, I’m thinking of making huge graphic changes for various areas, and this might be one of them. (In all honestly I didn’t like the Ice Path Graphics in Crystal). And a piece of advice, you’ll need the rock’s help to get you through… you’ll understand why when you play it later on.

Remember, comments are highly appreciated.

Welcome to the Blog

Hey there, I’m Koolboyman, and welcome to the blog, where I’ll be posting updated on how Bronze is doing. The scheduled released date for the final version is January 16th, 2007.

Honestly, I’ve looked back at Brown and noticed that I could of made it so much better, but I can’t turn back time, so I’m making an awesome sequel. I spend often day and night wondering what I can add and improve in this little hack, and revolutionize the hacking world… again. If you were impressed with Pokemon Brown, you’re in for a lot of surprises in Bronze, which will be much better than Gold (Irony). I’ll be posting updated on the game as well. I wont reveal EVERYTHING, because that would spoil the fun of playing it later, just small titbits, but even the smallest of titbits I’m sure you will enjoy. 🙂

(Note: The Screenshots are taken from the Alpha version, meaning what is shown might not actually be in the final version, I’m also working on some new graphics, so the graphics might be different too.)

And here, I leave you with the final version of the world map. Enjoy it 🙂
