It’s rather crucial that you are using this version rather than the previous, as we unintentionally introduced a bug with some flag checks.
Please make sure to update to this version ASAP! To be safe, please save next to a door so you can enter/exit to reload map data, as some things did need to be shuffled.
As always, also available over on the main TPPDevs site.
As a bonus, Pokemon Distribution only requires you having 16 Badges now, rather than the entire ‘dex complete!
Version 1.2.2
Some may remember lil’ JLVWNNOOOO from our initial Red run. Well, we tracked him down in the wild and he’s back! He’s at the exact stats he was at last we saw him, rescued right before being let free, and he’s ready for some more training!
WOAH WHAT IS THIS????
Thanks to our amazing team of coders, we’ve implemented a distribution system similar to Nintendo’s own Mystery Gift feature!
You may have noticed that the Pokemon center in Goldenrod got a makeover. FUNNY HOW THAT WORKS! There is a new kiosk located inside of the center that will be enabled once you have captured all 251 Pokemon gotten 16 GYM Badges, and will allow you to redeem codes! These codes will gift you very special Pokemon.
Stay tuned as we have many more where this came from!
This will only work on version 1.2 and above of Anniversary Crystal

Since lots of things have been changed for this hack (wild Pokemon, trainers, and so on), we’ve decided to build some documentation on things like wild encounters, learnsets and the like, since the information available in other sources (e.g., Buibapedia) won’t always apply here.
That documentation will eventually be available for interactive browsing (on the same website as the ROM patches, where right now there is a download link to a .zip file instead). However, the data is also available as a raw JSON file, in case someone wants to do something with the data in machine-parsable form (perhaps even make your own website to show the data, who knows).
EDIT: latest version 2016-05-14 23:50:02
I’ll keep the JSON updated if anything changes, so make sure to check the version in the JSON itself (which is simply a UTC timestamp) to ensure you have the latest version. (Also, fair warning, it’s 8 MB.)
If you have any questions about the dataset, ask ahead and I’ll answer to the best of my capacity. Enjoy!

Originally posted as a primer to the upcoming Twitch Plays Pokémon run of Pokémon Brown. Many people had not heard of Brown, or much of ROM Hacks in general, so I tried to introduce it. It includes a brief rundown of what it is, its history and some comments from the original developer providing insight.
