What is Kaleidoscope?
*********************
Thanks to the efforts of pret, Pokemon Crystal was reverse-engineered
and multiple developers could work on the source code at the same time. Prism was
ported to this engine around 2016 so that TPPDevs of Twitch Plays Pokemon could
collaborate on the project in order to finish it. The source code is also included
in these releases. In 2017, a new group called RainbowDevs picked up the project.

In layman's terms, disassembly is like writing the instructions on how to bake
a cake - you change the instructions, the cake that is baked will be different.
Working in binary is like trying to change the cake AFTER it's been baked. Doable,
but way more arduous!

Kaleidoscope is a fork of the pret pokecrystal engine developed by TPPDevs in 2015/16
for Pokemon Anniversary Crystal and further developed for Prism. It contains additional
features and enhancements over the original base. Other engines have since surpassed it,
so we would NOT recommend you start with Kaleidoscope as a base for your game.

What's the "original" folder?
*****************************
Prism Kaleidoscope was initially released in RAR files, and later 7z files. For the sake
of easy access, these have all been repackaged into ZIP files. The original RAR and 7z
files can be found in this folder.

If a password is set, it is "prism".
